Can we change the LE of exisiting Operaing unit and continue the old operating unit

We have a requirement to end date legal entity and merge the OU/BSB aligned to this LE to other LE and Ledger. For example - in some cases we have one ledger, one legal entity and
one OU. The requirement here is to end date legal entity & ledger and link existing OU to another legal entity and ledger. How this is done in system?
