How to renew folder permisson for Oracle Home User on windows?

edited Oct 27, 2019 5:02AM in Database Administration (MOSC) 2 commentsAnswered

Hallo,

in my database setup I use mounted volumes in windows, so i.e. my oradata folder in the oracle home is mounted NTFS formatted volume.

In case of a restore this mounted volume was corrupt and i had to add a new one and remount it. To do this, I had to delete ehe folder because internally it had ab broken mount point to the corrupted old volume.

After recreating the mount folder and mount the new folder I had to create the subfolders for the instance and within for controlfile, redo and datafiles. But when I try to start the instance I get "O/S-Error: (OS 5) Access is denied." while trying to startup mount.

Howdy, Stranger!
