Oracle VM storage connect api?

Hello!

I am thinking about better integration of lab Oracle VM installation with some open-source filer (currently FreeNAS - as a low cost solution for development). Today we configure it as generic NFS/ISCSI storage, but advanced functionality - like managing shares/luns from VM Manager would be nice.

As far as I know, third-party vendors can prepare storage plug-ins for Oracle VM using Storage Connect API - is this something with public documentation (I was unable to any)? There is also "Oracle VM Storage Connect Partner Program" - does it mean that only hardware vendors with official agreements can develop plug-ins or are there  some public documentation and this program is only for certified solutions?
