Impact of Terminating 'General Ledger Accoutning Setup' Program

Hi,

We  need a brief input on 'GL Accounting Setup' program as we have a severe performance issue for this program which is impacting the Month End Closing. There is a ‘Compile value set hierarchy’ program execution due to an update in a value set. This program has spawned child program 'General ledger Accounting Setup' program. The parent program ‘Compile value set hierarchy’ Completed Normal but the child program 'General ledger Accounting Setup' is taking long time for completion (running more than 8 hours).

If the child program 'General ledger Accounting Setup' program is Terminated, will there be any impact? And when the next run of this program happens, will all the pending updates be completed? Request your quick inputs as this is an MEC issue. Appreciate your inputs.
