ODA - x7-m ACFS snapshot databases

Problem Description

We have been using our newly deployed ODA x7-m servers for a while and want to start creating snapshot databases.

The documentation for this is fairly clear but when used it throws up errors.

Source database 18.5 called dummy.

Clone source database cdummy.

All storage using ACFS

We are running

odacli clone-database -n cdummy -u cdummy -f dummy -m

This is consistently returning

DCS-10001:Internal error encountered: {0}.null Recreate Controlfile script failed during execution.

The path being used by the oda-database commands is /u01/app/oracle/product/18.0.0.0/dbhome_3/dbs/initcdummy1.ora

Where did the initcdummy1 come from? A path using initcdummy exists - not one ending with a number 1
