Long MRP run times R3483

Hello.  Has anyone experienced wildly varying times for the parallel run of R3483?  Ours can run in as little as 90 minutes, but can also take up to 5 hours.  We're running on 12 processors and have 32Gb of main memory.  The data does not change to any large degree when comparing a 90-minute run to a five-hour run.  Our data center people cannot find any jobs that are running at the same time which are disruptive.
