Asset journal displaying different amount from amount being printed on journal

I have an asset journal that has a transaction cost that is lower than the base cost, this is causing a disconnect when I print the journal. The lower amount shows in the line detail in the application, but the print out of the journal shows the higher expense. Does anyone know how this could have occurred? When I look at the asset's cost history I see that the coast is lower than the base cost as well? is there anything I can do to fix this?
