Sale order status default

I have a scenario with sale order where the sale order line will have both a stock item and non stock item

I want the stock item to default to status 520-526 and i want the non stock item to default to status 520-540 automatically during sale order creation - but not through the default order activity rules setup for the line type and order type.

Can anyone kindly guide me on how to do this in JDE.
