how to dispose of asset if the invoice has been issued on prior period

Dear Expert,

Could you provide information on how to dispose of assets if the sale (invoices) has been issued on April 2019, while disposal of assets will be carried out on Sept 2019.
There has been miscommunication between our A/R person and G/L person that caused the asset still be depreciated until August 2019.
What should we do to fix this?
