Sequence is decrementing for Line Number field in Siebel

I am facing a weird issue with sequence field.

I have performed below steps for achieving this scenario:

  • In my Child BC with class as CSSBCBase, I have created one Line Number field with attribute having Number data type.
  • I have added BC User property Sequence Field with value as Line Number. Also added Sequence Use Max property with value N as I wanted to have different Line Numbers for each Quote.
  • Created one Sequence BC with Name as Child BC.Line Number(Sequence) and its class as CSSSequence. Added 2 fields in this BC, one is Sequence with my child BC attribute and another field to create parent-child relationship between two BC’s.
