Is it possible to reference a work schedule or work pattern in a payroll proration formula?

We're setting up a payroll for a new company and have a requirement to use to an employees work schedule or work pattern when prorating salary payments for starters and leavers.

The existing proration formula calculates the number of working days as:

Pay Period:                01-Jul-2019 to 31-Jul-2019 (23 working days)

Period worked:          01-Jul-2019 to 12-Jul-2019  (10 working days)

The result we want, based on the employees work schedule of Tues-Fri each week, is:

Pay Period:                01-Jul-2019 to 31-Jul-2019 (18 working days)

Period worked:          01-Jul-2019 to 12-Jul-2019  (8 working days)

Both a work schedule (assign work schedule) and a work pattern (extra details of service) have been assigned to the employee but the formula doesn't automatically pick them up, so I'm looking for some guidance on the logic I need to add to the formula to get it to work.

Howdy, Stranger!
