Accrual Items from AP not getting imported to PA

Some accrual type Invoice distributions are not yet imported to PA. But the Item date on the distributions is in a past period which is already closed. After submitting PRC: Interface Supplier Costs with interface receipt accruals as Yes, this particular item is not getting interfaced. How can we import such items whose expenditure item dates are in past dated closed periods?
