How to setup serial control for an item that can be purchased from supplier and make at in-house man

Hi,

We have a site that is not on Oracle, so we have classified that site as a Supplier. At the same time, we also have the capability to build that same item at our manufacturing site. The item that is bought from the site classified as Supplier will be shipped to our manufacturing site and this item has to be received in our inventory as stock. We are using same part number for both. The inventory (from both make and buy) is then used as a raw material of another assembly.

How should the serial control setup in Oracle, in order to be able to receive the item from the site that is treated as a supplier and also semi-finished good from the manufacturing site?
