Can I use Jarfile signing certificate from dev to PROD ?

We are running Oracle applications 12.1.3 and tested new Jar signing certificate in development with alias same as production environment.  Can I copy adkeystore.dat and adsign.txt from development to production and generate jar files with force option in prod? (or) Do I need to create a new jarfile signing certificate request from production?
