Create and keep indexes on target that do not exist on the source (Oracle to Oracle)

We are using Goldengate as a near real time data warehouse of operational data from multiple source systems.

The reporting performance is not as good as we need due to the precise replication of DDL from the transaction systems (designed for input) and the data warehouse needing to be designed for Select.

I do not have knowledge of Goldengate aside from what I have read.

My expertise is building data warehouses.

Before I ask the DBA group that is responsible for the Goldengate replication, like all good lawyers, I want to know the answer before asking the question.

The answer I need does not have to go into great detail unless you feel it is necessary for counter-point in my future discussion with the DBA.
