How to define 15 period fiscal year?

Hi,

Requirement, is to define 15 period Fiscal year as client wants to perform annual close after 15 periods.  I can think of following option:

1.  Define the Fiscal year for 14 period from Jan-Feb. and then perform annual close.  Define another Date pattern for the March as in 14 period with 14 period ending on 31st March.   Create entries and perform annual close.

Would appreciate your thoughts on the above and if anyone has faced a similar challenge before whats the best solution you can think off..
