Conflicting information regarding Holiday Calendar and Self-Service timecards
I have been trying to configure self-service timecards to automatically recognize holidays in 12.2.8. I've had an SR open for almost a month and I've been unable to get this issue resolved.

But according to this note, the functionality should work when using the Work Schedule template. How is the Holiday Calendar Used in OTL ? (Doc ID 290104.1) I've tried this, with a number of different layouts, and each time when the Work Schedule template is applied, it just populates hours for the week. The holiday hours are not identified. Then, after the timecard explosion happens, the holiday hours are treated like hours actually worked on a holiday. The client I'm working with needs to use a Projects and Payroll layout. I've tried this with just a Payroll layout and with a few different Projects and Payroll layouts, and the results are the same. The Work Schedule template will populate the scheduled hours, but will not recognize holiday
