Changing Public IP, VIP, and SCAN and Physically Relocating Server to Different Network
Anyone have recommendations about modifying multiple IPs (Public IP,subnet, netmask,VIP,SCAN) on a cluster just prior to shutdown and relocation to different rack and network?
We plan on not changing the Private IPs, or any of the names (node, vip, scan), just the public IPs.
I have seen several notes on Oracle Support and understand the steps and commands, just wonder if I will need to repeat any modifications after server is restarted in its new location?
For the subnet, netmask, and VIP, we will put in the correct(future) addresses in the commands, but with the scan changes, since the input of the command takes the scan name, if it cannot resolve to the correct IPs until it is shutdown, moved, and dns updated, will I need to re-run the modify of the scan again?
