Regarding Oracle Database Firewall Proxy mode setting

edited Jan 2, 2020 4:04AM in Database Security Products (MOSC) 1 commentAnswered

Hi there

I have installed and configured Oracle Database Firewall (12.2.0.10) in VMWare. Firewall was configured as Proxy mode. So I deployed a NIC there with an IP and port ( 192.168.10.17, 15500). My Database firewall's management IP is 192.168.10.16.  ( Database IP 192.168.10.1)  and did all needful as per documentation (Enforcement point ...... etc.). As we know client will access the Database through proxy IP and port ( 192.168.10.17, 15500).

I am facing main problem that I cannot ping proxy IP ( 192.168.10.17). If I cannot ping proxy IP how I can connect to my Database through Database Firewall? Am I right?

I have also found an error in diagnostic report which I have attached herewith.
