Effective Dates - Default to Blank
Many of the tickets that come into our service center are due to bad effective dates, typically on Job Data. Currently, when an end user adds a row to job data, the effective date will default to the current date. I was thinking if that effective date defaulted to blank and wouldn't let the user save the transaction without a valid effective date, we might cut down on our corrections that are needed. I have the following questions:
- Is there configuration somewhere that we can set up that would default the effective dates on several places (Job Data, Position, Person Data, Direct Deposit, etc) to blank instead of SYSDATE?
