Has anyone attempted to run “adop phase=fs_clone” inside a script successfully?

Has anyone attempted to run “adop phase=fs_clone” inside a script successfully? Can you share your experiences, possibly the technique? The fs_clone option seems to take several seconds as it asks for three passwords. Every UNIX technique to direct standard input has failed because of sequence in which adop asks for passwords and script provides the input did not match. Thanks
