Connect Microsoft Database Gateway to E1 database

We would like to use a Microsoft Database Gateway to connect to JDE E1 database tables.  Once the database gateway is installed, is there a way to restrict gateway access to specific JDE E1 database tables?  Is so, how can this be accomplished?
