freeze journal attachment from opening

Hello,

If a user uploads an attachment to a journal and the journal is posted, Oracle will not allow the attached file to be deleted as a control. We also cannot unpost a posted journal due to the audit trail/control (all great things). Is it possible to prevent a file from being opened? This is limited to only a handful of entries that were posted in our current, open period. Any guidance on how to "corrupt" the attachment from opening is greatly appreciated.
