Exadata X5-2 : Conversion from single-instance to RAC One Node

edited Nov 9, 2019 4:09PM in Exadata General (MOSC) 1 commentAnswered

Hello,

Our production Oracle databases (12.1 and 12.2) are hosted on 2 servers SERV1 (10 bases under Linux 6) and SERV2 (12 bases under Linux 6) which represent 2 DB Nodes of an Exadata X5-2 machine.

Another Exadata server acts as a standby site (Physical standby of a Data Guard architecture) .

We have 3 bases in NOARCHVILOG on each server.

We would like to upgrade from single-instance to RAC One Node so that we can patch our Exadata without interruption of service.

What are the prerequisites for this change? Any advices ?

Regards.

GD.
