Having created a v12c SE database, full auditing is turned on by default, how do I disable or minimi

I had reviewed the create scripts and did not see an entry setting auditing on, the logs generated filled the available disc space causing another database to freeze.

I want to run the new database with only limited audit logs retained.  Can someone suggest what is required or what to review ?
