shaking old ASM disks loose.

The famous "can't release the disks " issue.   I have added new ASM disks and the ADD / DROP has gone well and rebalance occurred.   Now, however, I can't make the disks release from oracleasm.

RHEL7, 12.1.0.2 EE, GI ; databases are single instance with Oracle Restart.

THe errors are

[grid@phx-ce-lds23 disks]$ sudo /etc/init.d/oracleasm deletedisk DATA04

Removing ASM disk "DATA04":                                [FAILED]

[grid@phx-ce-lds23 disks]$ sudo /usr/sbin/oracleasm deletedisk DATA01

Clearing disk header: failed

Unable to clear disk "DATA01"

The disks do not appear to be in use when using the lsof and fuser commands.  The multipath command returns an error stating I need to specify a map.

Howdy, Stranger!
