OEM 13c intergration with Servicenow

We are trying to integrate ServiceNow with OEM 13c for the first time is it essential apart from establish firewall rules between OEM  and ServiceNow server we also import server cert as mentioned in doc below ?

6.1 Importing the Server Certificate on Enterprise Manager

  1. Obtain the root certificate listed under Root Certificate Authority - Entrust Root Certification Authority - G2, as shown in the following ServiceNow article:

  3. Append the external Certificate Authority's certificate to:
