Method of monitoring disk space usage of on OVS servers

Is there any supported method of monitoring disk space usage on OVS server nodes? We currently use patrol to monitor our unix servers. Is it a supported method to install this software onto the OVS nodes?

The problem we have is that we need to be able to monitor the disk usage on the storage repositories that are presented to the nodes so ensure they don't become full. If the OVS repository goes full we encounter issues with the vms themselves such as IO error on the filesystem.
