How the Budget Reservation of Encumbrance works for Item Inventory Item while creating PO

Hi Experts,

While creating PO for Inventory Item, Do the Budget reservation happens for this Item ?

If Yes.. at which level doe the reserve check box in the line level gets enabled for that Inventory Item after the PO is created.
