18c db installation - disagreement between docs and installer

From the 18c Database Installation Guide for LInux:

Minimum RAM  At least 1 GB RAM for Oracle Database installations. 2 GB RAM recommended.  At least 8 GB RAM for Oracle Grid Infrastructure installations.

And yet, the database (not Grid) installer issues a warning if the RAM is below 8 GB

"Just sayin' . . . "
