Deployment of Spacewalk with Docker

in Linux Operating System (MOSC) Question

Hopefully this is the correct community to post this in.

Anyway, I am a Systems Administrator for a medium-sized organization and recently, our Spacewalk server decided to throw in the towel. I've been troubleshooting with Oracle Support (paid support) for several weeks now, and we haven't made much progress in getting it up and running again.

I know that Spacewalk can be deployed with Docker on CentOS/RHEL, but I don't find anything for Oracle Spacewalk deployment. I know Docker can be utilized in OEL, and I could potentially deploy the open source fork of Spacewalk.

What kind of difficulties am I looking at if I were to make this change? Is it absolutely necessary to use Oracle Spacewalk (I do understand the support implications)? What have others done in an OEL environment?
