ePerformance checkpoint with ratings

Good day PeopleSoft family,

I am trying to set up an ePerfromance template with checkpoints.  At the each checkpoints, I would like the manager to rate the employee on different items using a rating model.  I could not find any information on how to set this up.  I have a template with a rating model that I know works, but when I add checkpoints to it, I can't see the ratings anymore.

Is this not the way checkpoints are supposed to work?  Any help is appreciated.
