Difference between max availability and max performance

Hi All. I've read the documentation and didn't find the real difference between max availability and max performance protection modes. For both modes I can make SYNC/AFFIRM for the transport logs. And after doing some tests with crashing primary database the last SCN from the dump of redo logs are the same, between crashed primary and standby databases. Only one difference which I've found in the alert log.

For the max performance

LGWR: Standby redo logfile selected for thread 1 sequence 1790 for destination LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST_2

For the max availability

LGWR: Standby redo logfile selected to archive thread 1 sequence 1824

LGWR: Standby redo logfile selected for thread 1 sequence 1824 for destination LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST_2

Howdy, Stranger!
