Advise on upgrade path

Hi,

Please advise us on an upgrade path and steps.

We planning to move our EBS system to new hardware.

Currently running EBS 12.1.3 and Oracle DB 11.2 with ASM.  Both appstier and dbtier are running on single(same) RHEL 6.10 server.

Goal: Move appstier to RHEL 7.6 server and move dbtier to
          Exadata running OLinux 6.10

          Plan to stay on EBS 12.1.3 but upgrade DB to 12.2 on the Exadata

Please include advise on whether we should or can use EBS cloning vs new installs.  I am thinking we should clone to skip the upgrade path from 12.1.1-12.1.3; but it is confusing/unclear on the steps to accomplish this.  Also not positive we can clone from different version of OS and splitting of tiers.
