Best way to identify backup pieces created by a failed backup

Version: Oracle 11gR2, but probably irrelevant

We backup to the file system. Sometimes RMAN crashes because e.g. the database is shutdown abort. RMAN log shows the backup piece names

channel c1: starting piece 18 at 20190913 19:18:38
