18c preupgrade assesment tool - java error

Current environment - 12.1.0.2 EE on Oracle Linux 6

Installed 18c EE and running pre-upgrade assessment tool.  I wrote a 'helper script', comes down to these diagnostic lines and the actual execution of the pre-upgrade assesment tool.

echo Oracle Environment isechoenv | grep ORA |sortecho ---echo running: $ORACLE_HOME/jdk/bin/java  $NEWHOME/rdbms/admin/preupgrade.jar $FILE_TERM TEXT $ORACLE_SIDecho ---$ORACLE_HOME/jdk/bin/java  $NEWHOME/rdbms/admin/preupgrade.jar $FILE_TERM TEXT -sid $ORACLE_SID

And produces this result

Oracle Environment isORACLE_BASE=/u01/app/oracleORACLE_HOME=/u01/app/oracle/product/12.1.0.2/dbhome_2
