ORA-00313: open failed for members of log group 1 of thread 1

Hi Everyone,

I had recently done redo multiplexing in our production environment and the system was running fine. A few days back we had an activity which required a restart of the database. When the standby database was mounted, we got following alert in alert log:

ORA-00313: open failed for members of log group 1 of thread 1

ORA-00313: open failed for members of log group 2 of thread 1

ORA-00313: open failed for members of log group 3 of thread 1

Completed: alter database mount standby database

The standby is however in sync. I checked and saw that the second group of online redo log members were in INACTIVE state in v$logfile view of standby database:
