RAC grid upgrade to 19c by doing "deconfig present grid + configure 19c grid" - achievable?

Hi

Oracle Enterprise Linux 7

Oracle 2 node RAC 12.1.0.2.0

OCR and voting files are on separate diskgroup and database reside on its own diskgroup.

  • OCR and voting files are on +OCRVOTE diskgroup
  • Database files are on +DATA diskgroup

I was wondering, if for some reason rac grid upgrade (12.1 -> 19c) produces some fatal errors (rootupgrade.sh for example) and downgrade also is problematic (whatever reasons, for example also some fatal error due to bug etc).

Then, can I just deconfig present clusterware and create new 19c cluster from scartch..?

Basically can I do this to get my grid running on 19c version:
