Does JDE recognize the tilde character?

Hello All,

We are testing Auto Cash Receipts functionality.  We have some invoices that have the tilde character (i.e.  123456~A-1).  We are storing the value in a reference field and this is failing on the invoice match.  Is this because the tilde is not a recognized character in JDE?
