How essbase stores blocks in pag files?

Hello everybody! I had a dispute with a colleague about "how Essbase stores blocks in PAG file?" and I didn't find answer in documentation library. Are they sequentially ordered blocks or blocks randomly spreaded in PAG file? Actually this question is not main for me . The main question is "Do I need to perform Windows disk defragmentation to get some Essbase performance improvement?"
