OE_DEPENDENCIES EXTN - Want to Enable/Disable the dependency based on a conditon

I would like to enable or disable dependency of attributes based on a condition(Eg : based on Order Source).

Tried using Global Variables(ont_header_def_hdlr.g_record / oe_header_security.g_record).

It's not working.

Remember using Global Variable few years back in OE_DEPENDENCIES_EXTN and it worked.

Unable to recollect now.

Appreciate any help on this.
