Hello,

I have some qeustions for studying oracle, especially moving engine and datafiles.

I installed oracle11g(11.2.0.4) on windows server 2008(64bit) and

I zipped app folder and datafiles to move my USB drive.

After that, I installed windows server 2016(64bit).

I unzipped app and datafiles on windows server 2016.(Exactly, same place which i had installed oracle 11g)

It is hard to make the service open.

I used,

1. Registry export

2. Environmental path setting

3. Listener.ora & Tnsnames.ora settting.

I finally opened the service.

Here are questions.

1. Is it possible moving engine and datafiles after cold backup from windows server 2008 to windows 2016?

Howdy, Stranger!
