expired stock does not want to be removed on the system

hi

we have an item that is expired and needs to be removed from the system but the issue is inoder to remove it it has to be removed from the scanner but the scanner is showing that there is 6 item on hand but 0 availibity QTY and the issue is that on the material work bench we have total quenty of primary which is 6 and available to reserve primary which is -6 and is not allowing the user to remove the item on the system.

please assist.
