UPDATE TO PAY_COST_ALLOCATION_KEYFLEX TABLE

We are currently in the Oracle R12 EBS environment.  A request has been made to update approximately 1500 values in Segment1 of the pay_cost_alloocation_keyflex table.  There is an API that looks like it will handle this perfectly.  However the pay_cost_allocation_api.update_cost_allocation updates pay_cost_allocations_f.  This table doesn't contain the costing segments.  And it looks like Oracle doesn't support an API for this table.  Has anyone found a work-around to updating the pay_cost_allocation_keyflex table?  Any information or references would be helpful.
