Wrong UOM getting defaulted in sales order detail line

Hi

Can someone help me on below issue

Item primary UOM and all the measurements set to MB (Mini Bulk) in Item Master and have item conversions setup in place.

When enter item number in sales detail line , UOM getting defaulted to LB (Pounds)and secondary UOM defaulting to MB and receiving an error that item UOM conversion not setup and unsuccessful .

It suppose to default MB in UOM but I do not understand how UOM field is defaulting to LB for item line in sales order.  Do you think something missed in the setup .

Please suggest me what might causing this and how to correct it.
