Registration of a service with local ip address instead vip ip address (local_listener null)

Hello Community,

I would like to understand better what are the implication using local_listener with local ip instead of vip ip.

I have many  RAC 12.1.0.2 databases running on a engineered system , the local_listener is set to null because
we have been using a second IB network to allow some local application to access directly to some databases.

Some databases have the listener_network set and the local_listener set to null. As the local_listener is set to null,

all services registered on the scan listener have been redirected local ip address instead of virtual ip.

lsnrctl service LISTENER_SCAN1

Howdy, Stranger!
