Oracle Database 12.2 on RedHat 7 in a Windows Active Directory environment

I need to install Oracle Database 12.2 on a RedHat 7 OS in a Windows Active Directory environment. The systems administrators want me to use a domain account to install.

However, when we find out that we could not log in to a domain account and use it to install Oracle RDBMS software (it has to have a local account, i.e. in /etc/passwd).

The systems administrators have looked at the Oracle 12.2 Windows installation guides and have seen that you can choose an account to install as. They want to know why this is not an option in Linux install. I have advised them that this cannot be done on Linux Oracle database install.
