Defining Buy 1 Get 1 kind of discounts
Dear Gurus,
Need your inputs on below as I am not quite conversant in pricing side.
There is a requirement to define discounts like below:
1. Buy 1 get 1 (Same item): In other words if I buy a 500ML Shampoo, I will get another 500 ML shapoo free of cost
2. Buy 1 get another 1: Buy a 500 ML Shampoo and get a soap free of cost
3. Quantity based offers: If I buy 10 soaps I will get a Disney toy free of cost
My questions are about
- how do we define the discounts?
- How do we review the performance of sales at individual item level? (For example when soaps are given free for a shampoo purchase, the soap which costs some thing but doesnt get revenue as it is given free of cost)
