Hi !

I'm initializing a local IPS Solaris 11.4 repo like

[2019-12-20 16:25:25] root@ls-sol-i01:~ # pkgrepo create /repos/export/s11ReleaseRepo

[2019-12-20 16:25:48] root@ls-sol-i01:~ # pkgrecv -s http://pkg.oracle.com/solaris/release/ -d /repos/export/s11ReleaseRepo '*'

Processing packages for publisher solaris ...

Retrieving and evaluating 9795 package(s)...

PROCESS                                         ITEMS    GET (MB)   SEND (MB)

install-image/solaris-auto-install          4070/9795 10065/22691  9108/21636

...

and must investigate that the first ITEMS up to lets say 3.000 go fast enough to be happy, but since then it decelerates to be very very slow.

I can or must wait, and I estimate, it will end in maybe 24 hours if I'm lucky.. but still, there is no network bandwidth manager at Oracle that slows down this task?

Howdy, Stranger!
