Using Standard Journal Categories with Custom Journal Source

Dear All

I have  requirement where we will be maintaining Fixed Assets register on a custom application. We want to import the FA transaction entries  from this FA custom application to my R12.3 GL. via GL_INTERFACE table using the standard GL import process. While populating the data in GL_INTERFACE table can I use the standard Oracle FA Journal Categories like Addition , Reclassification etc with custom Journal Source .Is there any restriction on using the standard Oracle FA Journal categories to use with custom Journal source ?
